Can We Discuss Pet Peeves?

I’m finding wayyyy to much time this summer. To the point where I’m just getting annoyed at the smallest little things. So here is a list of my current pet peeves. Oh, and please feel free to add yours to the list. Let’s rant together.

Your mom. Just kidding. I love that lady.

The Sims 3 – Holy graphics downgrade Batman! I don’t understand how this game looks like shit, yet manages to burn the hell out of my poor graphics card. EA, you better be thinking up some good expansions.

Reading (or the lack thereof) – I have ADHD or something. I can not sit down and read a book anymore unless it’s cheesy as hell.

The Economy – It’s got me down, like James Brown. Seriously, why is it so hard for a college educated girl to find a lame 2 month summer gig?

Car Insurance/New Licence Plates – I’d take the bus if it was possible. But, this po-dunk little town doesn’t run like that yet.

Now, let’s discuss the highlights of life. Because life can’t always be all doom and gloom.

The Cutest Boy Ever – <3 I just don’t know how he manages to be so cute all the time! I can’t talk about him all lovey-dovey because then I just sound like one of those raging Robert Pattison fangirls. Ah, fuck it. HE’S SO AMAZINGLY SWEET & CARING & FUCKING GOURGOUS!! ahh. I love him.

The Best Friend – I wouldn’t let anybody else spill iced coffee in my car, it’s all reserved for you my friend!

Concerts – Fuck yeah. Summer concerts ftw!

Drive In Theaters – 2 new release movies for less than the price of one, plus a super adorable theater with amazing food. Yes please!

My Disgusting Brother…

My brother has two rooms, he switches back and forth between the two often… They are both equally disgusting despite the fact that he has been moved out of “Room 1″ for quite some time. The pictures are disgusting, but no where near as bad as the odor in each of the rooms.

Now, I bring you pictures.

Room #1 -

He took the door off the hinges.

I don’t even know what this is.

Dirty, crusty, used condoms on a nasty dumpster chair.

My brother’s friends love writing retarded shit on the walls. My home is apparently a yearbook.

This is the door to room #2, complete with a dumb sign and stab marks in the door.

Old flat soda and a dusty dusty TV.

Empty rum bottle hidden in a pile of dirty laundry.

He stole a pan from the kitchen to make a litter box which he never cleans.

He stole the Christian idol on the left from some person’s yard. He “redecorated” it.

He stole my water filter, I don’t really want it back at this point. Would you?

He stole the pink pillows and Hello Kitty blanket from my younger sister’s room.

Mmm. Food right next to a bucket of cigarettes.

Why would anybody buy this belt buckle? Hu$tla? Really?

Mold and Ashes? What a treat!

He has a deadbolt on his door. I have no lock on my door. Yes, my stuff gets stolen all the time.

Distasteful…

I like Andy Samberg, lately he’s been my favourite part of SNL. But I can’t stand one of the the VMA commercials MTV is running currently. It’s called “The One Who Dared to Leave”.

I don’t really think people in concentration camps had the choice to just leave.

This commercial is not funny. Not even a little bit, not even at all. Yet, I find myself nearly alone on the subject. When you search “The One Who Dared To Leave” on Google, nothing but positive reviews pop up. This one little thread on MTV’s site is the only place on the net I could find people who also found this distasteful. I guess I’m becoming a wimp? I just don’t find it funny.

Phooka and I just got back from the police station. Now I can’t stop thinking about doughnuts. Anyhow, I plan on making a cute little video of our police visit, so keep a look out for that!

I’ve been walking around in these killer sandals all day. My boyfriend’s mom got them for me for Christmas and since my cheap sandals broke I’ve been wearing these new ones. The shoes are beaded, kind of like the picture to the right, except mine have this little metal bead that digs into my feet. So cute, yet so painful.

Summer is coming up really soon, so I hope to post some new adventures and tales for you over the coming months. For now though, I have to spend my time studying for finals. *stress*

Stress Will Do That To You…

Alright, I’ll admit it. I’m a liar. I haven’t even gotten around to loading the Conor pictures on my computer. I’ve been too busy with homework the past week or so. My boyfriend’s brother keeps repeating the same Jerry Seinfeld joke over and over. “What’s the deal with homework? You’re not working on your home!” I’m excited for everything school related to be over. Summer is only 3 weeks away, it seems so close, yet so far away.

The next big chunk of homework I have should be interesting. Phooka and I dug through the several boxes of pictures her grandparents have in order to find a picture to restore via photoshop. I’m not sure who this girl is, but the picture is gorgeous!

While nothing new or interesting has been going on in my life, Phooka’s has been quite interesting. This week she’s seen 4 of her exes. (One of which she hasn’t seen in over a year!) I absolutely hate two of them. Brad the First is just a total asshole. He’s a creeper. Ew. And the one I hate the most? Zach (the one Phooka discussed in the post with Cockroaches in the title). He’s evil. Pure.Evil. I told Phooka that it’s a sign shes seen all of her exes. Like maybe some divine power telling her to take a look at her past relationships before she starts a new one or something like that. What do you think?

Book Time, Time for Books

The lack of updates? That’s my fault I guess. I’ve been devouring P.C. & Kristen Cast’s House of the Night series.

The House of Night Series is similar to a lot of vampire novels that have recently come out; cheesy, yet addicting. The novels do a great job of captivating the reader, but have a problem with understanding said reader. In the fifth book of the series (Hunted) P.C. Cast, the author, continues to repeat unnecessary information to the reader. By the fifth book, the readers know that Zooey is a vampire, has special gifts, and has boyfriend problems like crazy.

Like I mentioned before, the House of the Night Series is yet another young adult novel about vampires. That said the novels feel a little unoriginal. You’ve got vampires attending a boarding school where they have to battle dark forces. It’s sort of like if Twilight got together and had a freakish child with Harry Potter. The HON series also attempts to steal the whole “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” thing, i.e. the heroine of the story must choose the love of her life but can’t decide, from Twilight. This fails miserably because the heroine, Zooey Redbird, ends up coming of as a slut.

On the plus side the books do possess an addictive quality. It’s like meth for romance and vampire novel dorks. You know it’s terrible, but you just can’t stop. While I made fun of some of the dialoge in the series, I still read along curiously wondering what was happening in each of the books.

The series also has some wonderful characters. My favorite of which is rich snob Aphrodite. While she starts out as your typical bitchy stuck up ho, she definitely has evolved from the first novel in the series. But, I can’t spoil too much!

If you do check out the series, try your hardest to get them in book form. My local library only had the books in audiobook form. The voice acting is terrible, espically for the first couple of novels in the series. Never before have I heard such a fake southern accent, and that’s even counting when I try talking like a Southerner!
